Essential conditions
Four criteria must be met
The checker combines available data. An incomplete signal remains “to be confirmed” until the relevant authorities validate it.
Multi-unit housing
The programme targets a building with at least 3 dwellings.
Energy-intensive envelope
The building envelope’s official energy rating must be class F or G before work begins.
Participating area
The building must be located in a partner municipality of the RÉNO-NE programme.
MApe support
Support that brings heritage and energy together
RÉNO-NE may cover part of the heritage-energy adviser’s fees (MApe). Actual support depends on the project, the municipality and approval of the application.

What does the MApe adviser do?
The MApe adviser guides the renovation so that energy performance, historic fabric and project feasibility are addressed together. The adviser must appear on the programme’s official list.

Process
From the first check to the application
- 1. Check the address, heritage status, number of dwellings and municipality.
- 2. Have the building envelope’s official energy class established before work begins.
- 3. Select a MApe adviser from the official list and define the renovation scope.
- 4. Confirm conditions with the canton and municipality, then submit the application before any work begins.
Important: a subsidy application must be submitted before work begins. A signed quotation or order may already jeopardise support.
When a manual review is required
Parcellis flags missing information instead of producing a false conclusion. Human validation is especially necessary when:
- the heritage record does not clearly establish the RACN value or protection status;
- the dwelling count differs between registers or several buildings share the plot;
- the envelope’s energy class or municipality participation has not been confirmed.

Understanding the RÉNO-NE check
Does the Parcellis result confirm eligibility?
No. It is a first assessment of the available criteria and does not guarantee that support will be awarded. Checks by the canton, municipality and appointed professionals remain decisive.
Is an energy estimate sufficient?
No. The programme requires an official energy class for the building envelope before work begins. An estimate can only indicate that a formal check is worthwhile.
How much can RÉNO-NE fund?
The canton publishes support of up to CHF 10,000 per project for MApe services. This ceiling is not an automatic amount and depends on the application and municipality.
Can work begin before the application?
No. Cantonal sources require submission before work begins. Confirm the exact sequence before entering into any commitment.
